Earth Knots (Natural condensed Earth. Found objects.)

You are looking at three stones, or rather rocks. These giant earthly structures are as tall as humans. One of the subtitles of this work, Found objects, demonstrates one way nature can become art. Everyday objects enter the realm of art by the artist’s choice. How interesting. VAN DER MERWE selected objects found in nature – three large rocks – and simply moved them to the outdoor exhibition space. Objects with heterogeneous shapes and colors have become art by an artist. After all, these non-sculptures were born without making. Nature in itself is art.
