Kongni
In the center of Yongji Park lies a round-cornered bench. What looks like a functional public amenity is actually a work of art submitted to the Biennale. It is a piece of furniture or craft that offers a resting place for visitors who may feel tired after walking around the outdoor exhibition venue. At the same time, it is an artwork facilitating interaction with visitors. It is also a place for dialogue, where strangers sit together and get to know each other. The title Kongni means to communicate and to interact. The artist hopes this work could provide many visitors with an artistic connection as well as a moment of rest and relaxation.
