This three-meter tall ball is an interactive drawing tool. Filled up with helium and covered with charcoal spikes, it floats freely in a huge white room, leaving black marks whenever it makes contact with walls, ceiling, and floor. These marks are traces of ADA’s free-floating trajectory as well as the result of a visitor’s participation. This non-sculptural sculpture is not complete without the passage of time and interaction with visitors. Visitors are no longer simple spectators, but co-creators of art. As they actively take part in the process of turning the room into grey with charcoal marks, they contemplate on the differences and similarities between play and art.
