A triangular column stands in the middle of the room, connecting the floor and the ceiling. At first glance, the column looks like it is made of transparent glass, because you can see through it the image on the other side. But a closer look reveals the image is actually a photograph. The column contains two different images – an empty exhibition space and a work being installed on the other side of the exhibition hall. KWON made a composite of different photos taken in the same location before and during the installation of works. This work is a photo-sculpture that combines different times and real-world and virtual spaces. The virtual images appear real, but with a subtle, uncanny difference. They bring viewers to a philosophical contemplation of existence and absence, and the seen and the unseen.
