This work demonstrates that it’s not just a sculptural volume that can occupy a given space. Light or shadow can do it, too. RHO had artificial lighting pass through translucent acrylic plastic sheets of different colors to produce colorful shadows on the floor. Just like the rainbow spectrum of colors produced when white light passes through a prism, the contours are blurred. Together with enlarged shadows, they create a world of fantasy. This is the moment when the artist’s strategy of “showing” meets the spectator’s “seeing.”
